4.2. Cleanup

Cleanup tools remove unwanted elevation or duplicate geometry so drawings stay flat and tidy for 2D delivery.

4.2.1. FLATTEN

Sets Z = 0 on the selected objects. For polylines, the Elevation property is zeroed as well so DXF/IQZ export stays consistent.

Access

  • Ribbon: Super Tools → Cleanup (default click) or the Cleanup dropdown → Flatten

  • Menu: Super Tools → Cleanup → Flatten

  • Command line: FLATTEN

Workflow

  1. Optionally pre-select the objects to flatten.

  2. Run FLATTEN.

  3. If nothing is selected, pick objects and press Enter, or press Enter immediately to flatten all objects in the drawing.

  4. The command line reports how many objects changed.

Notes

  • Undoable (full vertex Z and polyline Elevation restore).

  • Non-zero Z only: objects already at Z = 0 are left alone in the change count.

  • Formerly available under Modify; it now lives only under Super Tools so cleanup stays with other Super Tools utilities. The command name FLATTEN is unchanged.
